Rose Quartz Butterfly NOTD

Currently watching: Grey's Anatomy

Good morning,

Today's manicure features a plethora of polishes, the first of which is Essence Sweet as Candy, a sheer pink ideal for French manicures.

After applying a coat of that, I then added Barry M Rose Quartz Glitter to the tips of my nails.

My next step was to stamp silver butterflies using Barry M Silver Foil and Cheeky plate CH3.

Finally, I stamped more butterflies using Barry M Pomegranate.

Monday's Manicure: Pink Zebra NOTD

Currently watching: Spiral

Good morning lovely ladies,

I have to confess that I haven't been motivated by my nails recently, partly because of their short length and poor condition and partly because of the cold weather.  I take my photos on the window sill, with the window open, and the low temperatures make my fingers look so red and raw.  There's nothing I can do about the weather but I am using a variety of nail care treatments on a daily basis so hopefully I'll see an improvement in my nails soon.  I'll keep you posted.

Today's manicure features one of my favourite Essence polishes, Pink Hibiscus.  It's so shimmery, I love it.  Haven't worn it for a while though, strangely.

I stamped an animal print pattern using Bundle Monster plate BM 223 and MUA shade 2.

Thursday's Talons: Strawberry Fail

Currently watching: Spiral

Good morning ladies,

I've run out of manicures to show you (oh no!) so I'm resorting to a nail fail I created at the weekend...

I started by doing a half-moon manicure on four nails with 17 Knockout Red and added white dots with my dotting tool.

I painted my accent nail white then stamped using a strawberry from a Cheeky plate.  The image was just an outline so I filled in the strawberry with red, green and yellow.  I then added a row of red dots to the tip of my nail as I felt there was too much white space!

Monday's Manicure: Disco Dior NOTD

Currently watching: The Big Reunion

Good morning lovely ladies,

Today I'd like to show you my take on a look which is has been rather popular in the blogging world, glitter tips.

I started with two coats of Dior Graphic Berry.

I then used Essence Disco Disco to paint the tip of each nail with silver holographic glitter.

And that was it!  A very simple manicure to create but one which I absolutely love.

Friday's Fingers: Lady of the Lake's Flowers

Currently watching: The Big Reunion

Good morning ladies,

As you saw with my Chinese New Year manicure, I've been learning how to *paint* flowers on my nails recently.  I thought I'd show you my first attempt:

My base is a-England Lady of the Lake, a beautiful purple holographic polish.

The flowers were done with Barry M Prickly Pear, Easy Paris 48 and a dotting tool.

Nautical Love NOTD

Currently listening to: Titanium by David Guetta

Hello lovely ladies,

I've loved seeing all your Valentine's-themed manicures over the past couple of days, despite not producing many myself.  Here's one I had planned for ages which went, mostly, according to plan:

I used 17 Knockout Red as my base and drew horizontal lines across each nail with my white Technic nail striper.  My accent nail was painted with Barry M Denim.

I then stamped a heart on my accent nail using Red Angel plate RA 110.  I initially tried to stamp in red but for some reason the polish wouldn't stick to my stamper so I ended up stamping in white and then stamping over it with red polish.  It was probably for the best as I doubt the red would have shown up very well on Denim.

So what do you think girls?

Chinese New Year Nails

Currently watching: Glee

Good morning lovely ladies and happy Chinese New Year :-)

In celebration of the lunar new year, I decided to do a simple red and gold manicure:

I started with two coats of Knockout Red by 17 as my base.

I then added gold flowers using a dotting tool and Barry M Gold Foil.

To finish, I placed a black dot in the centre of each flower using MUA Shade 2.

Friday's Fingers: Floral Double Stamping NOTD

Currently listening to: Army of Two by Olly Murs

Good morning lovely ladies,

Today I have a purple floral manicure to show you which started with Essence Oh My Glitter! as the base.

I love this polish.  Purple with orange flecks of shimmer in it.  Very pretty.

I then stamped a criss-cross pattern using Barry M Prickly Pear and Bundle Monster plate BM310.  It's subtle but I think it adds interest.

The flower pattern was stamped with Barry M Blackberry and BM224.

Tuesday's Talons: Daisy Trail NOTD

Currently watching: Africa

Good morning girls,

I was really touched by the positive reaction I received to my kawaii manicure recently so I thought I would do another manicure with natural half moons:

My first step was to create a half moon manicure using Barry M Fuchsia.

I then stamped flowers along the base of Fuchsia using Easy Paris 48 and Mash plate m57.  I filled in the centre of each flower with my dotting tool and Nails Inc Portobello Market.

For the finishing touch I filled in the unpainted section of my nail with Barry M Pink Iridescent for a little bit of sparkle.
