Thursday's Talons ft Double Stamping

Currently watching: Dangerous Minds

Good morning girls,

Today I'd like to show you a stamping manicure I did a couple of days ago, using Essence Enchanted Fairy as my base.

I love this pink shimmer polish, it's so delicate and pretty.

I then stamped using Barry M Silver Foil and Mash plate m78.

To finish, I stamped black stars on each nail using Bundle Monster plate BM21 and MUA Shade 2 (I believe).

I actually wore this manicure, with a different colour combination, last October.  It's definitely one of my favourite ways to double stamp.

What do you think girls?

Laura

Thursday's Talons

Currently listening to: A Present for Everyone by Busted

Good morning ladies! Today I have a quick post for you as, due to lighting difficulties, I've only been able to take my pictures now so I'm typing quickly before I need to rush off to work!

I finally have another manicure for you:

My base is Soft Grey by Beauty UK

I then stamped a white pattern using Konad Special White and MASH plate m78. I loved the way that looked on some nails, the pattern was so crisp and clear, but as there was some smudging on a few nails I decided to cover it up with some more stamping.

I then chose two images, one from Bundle Monster plate BM21, the other from BM224 and stamped using Bleu Asphalte by Bourjois.

What do you think of this manicure girls? I'd love to know.

Bye for now,
Laura

Tuesday's Talons

Currently reading: ICAEW Taxation Study Manual (let the good times roll!)

Good evening girls! I'm posting rather late in the day but oh well, better late than never.

Bad news to start us off I'm afraid. A lot of you lovely ladies left me comments recently saying that you really liked the length and shape of my nails. I did too, in fact I loved my nails, but during the past couple of weeks I felt they were getting too long so yesterday I filed them down. My beautiful nails have gone!

I had planned to file them right down but in the end I couldn't bear to do that, partly because I have very small nail beds so if I filed my nails below the tips of my fingers, I would hardly have any nail left to paint. Anyway, they are now a lot shorter than they were and it's going to take us all time to get used to them (!) but I have high hopes for their rapid growth.

Today's manicure features Barry M Blue Moon as the base with a new (to me) Miss Sporty bronze/gold shade for stamping.

The only good thing about short nails is that I can happily use the full nail images from the old Bundle Monster collection and my MASH plates :-)

Thumb, middle and pinkie nails were stamped with m78
Index and ring nails were stamped with BM11

I love this colour combination, I really do. It's the first time I've used this polish but I knew I could rely on Miss Sporty to stamp well.

My only problem was placing the stamp. This was the most successful nail.

So girls, what do you think of this manicure and what do you think of my short nails? What is your ideal nail length?

Bye for now,
Laura

NOTD: Possibly A New Favourite

Currently watching: Mock the Week

Good morning girls!

Here's a manicure I did last night using Essence Jelly Baby in Very Berry and a silver shade by Miss Sporty.

I absolutely love this. The image is from MASH plate m78.

I read yesterday that in the UK, Miss Sporty polishes are considered one of the best brands for stamping with. After this manicure, I have to agree!

Do you like thie manicure? What are your favourite brands of polish to stamp with?

Bye for now,
Laura
