Those of  you who follow me on Twitter may know this already but yesterday I found out I passed the three exams I sat last month!  Thank you to everyone sent me wishes of good luck and encouragement during my exam period :-)

My answers:

1.  I've been blogging for almost two years now although my enthusiasm has grown a lot since the early days.

2.  I started blogging after I randomly stumbled across a make-up/nail art blog and discovered the world of Konad and nail blogs.  I was living abroad at the time, away from my family and friends, so I think part of the reason I started blogging was because I was excited to share my life and new-found love of stamping with people.

3.  I like to follow nail art blogs mainly but also fashion and make-up blogs.  If the tone is right and the writing is good, I'm happy to follow any type of blog.

4.  I would like to improve the quality of my pictures.

Primer. My skin can be quite dry so primer helps my make up to glide on.

Probably sticky toffee pudding although I am also partial to Mars Bar cakes, carrot cake and caramel shortbread :-)

5: GOSH Primer - this is the fourth primer I've tried and I think it's my favourite. I will write a post on this soon but for now, all I'll say is that it's a daily staple for me.
6: Rimmel Stay Matte Mousse Foundation
7: 17 Even Tone Corrector Stick
8: 17 Mirror Shine Lipstick in Flirtini - the first lipstick I've worn for years. My lips are quite thin so lip glosses and lipsticks generally don't suit me at all but this shade adds a subtle hint of colour without looking foolish.
9: ELF Eyelid Primer

10: Vaseline - a staple in all make-up artists' make-up kits I'm led to believe and apparently good for using on eyebrows, lips and dry patches of skin. However, the reason this is in my top 10 is because until January, I suffered from terrible nosebleeds on an almost daily basis. My doctor suggested I put a touch of Vaseline inside my nose every day to see if this would prevent my nose from bleeding. His suggestion worked for me and I have not had a signle nosebleed in six months.

The Versatile Blogger

Hello folks :-)

Leanne, over at Do Not Refreeze tagged all of her readers for The Versatile Blogger award so here I am, doing the same.

The rules: tell us 7 things about yourself then tag 6 other bloggers for this award.

1. One of my favourite books is Digging to America by Anne Tyler. I've just finished reading it for probably the tenth time. It's about two families in America, one American and one Iranian, who both adopt baby girls from Korea. The story is not particularly dramatic or fast-paced but that's why I love it; it's about the day to day lives of these two families, observations about culture and behaviour, and what it is to be an outsider.

2. I want to start taking Spanish classes next year.

3. I haven't had a proper, genuine, carefree conversation with another girl for about 10 weeks, since I moved here. I don't have any female friends here and I'm beginning to miss girlie chats.

4. I'm a Scot living in England and not a day goes by without someone reminding me of this.

5. When I was younger I wanted to be a stock broker when I grew up.

6. My favourite singer is Josh Groban. Although there are a few of his songs which I dislike, I absolutely love Oceano, All'improvviso Amore, In Her Eyes and Awake. His new album comes out on 15th Nov and I just can't wait to hear it (I've been waiting for a new album for three years) despite being slightly apprehensive as apparently this album shows Josh taking his music in a new direction.

7. I've been with my boyfriend for a year and seven months. He makes me happy :-)

It was really difficult to select only a few pictures so I've gone a little bit overboard here but hopefully you'll enjoy seeing some of my photos from the last few years.

Montlucon, France (Nov 2006)
This was taken when I spent a year living in France and visited some friends in Montlucon. I love taking pictures, I love fountains, and I love France.

Frankfurt, Germany (June 2009)
Last summer my friend and I went to Frankfurt for a couple of days after graduating from university. I love photographing flowers and I have a lot of good pictures (and memories) from this trip.

Autumn Leaves
Autumn is my favourite season as I love to watch the colours of the leaves changing. This picture was taken in the Botanic Gardens in Glasgow, Scotland last year.

Holiday Photos
I love taking pictures while I'm away on holiday and can easily go away for a few days and return with 500 pictures. My digital camera was one of the best presents I've ever been given :-) These two pictures were taken in Berlin, Germany in July 2009. The first shows Berlin Cathedral with the TV Tower in the background as well as a sneaky fountain in the bottom lefthand corner. The second was taken in the World Gardens. Summer 2009 was really significant for me and I was lucky enough to travel to many different countries in Europe so I always enjoy looking back at my photos and reliving that time.

The top two were taken when David and I spent a week in the Outer Hebrides (Scottish islands) in August 2009 and the bottom two are from our trip to the south of Scotland in October 2009. My country is beautiful.

Pictures of my host country, Poland
I moved here at the beginning of February 2010 and I'll be leaving at the end of this month. I live in the capital, Warsaw, but I've managed to visit many of the country's other cities such as Krakow, Poznan, Torun, Lodz, Wroclaw and Gdansk. The weather was terrible when I visited a lot of these cities but regardless of that, I've liked everything I've seen here. Next week I'll be going to the south of Poland and will have the chance to see some of the countryside. I hear it offers some impressive sights so I'm looking forward to seeing life outside the city.
