Sunday's Sparkles: Iseult Confetti

Good morning lovely ladies,

Today I have a simple manicure full of sparkles to show you which isn't a winter-themed look but features the glitter we've come to expect during the festive season.

I started with a-england Iseult as my base, a very pink pale which I regret buying since it does not suit my skin tone unfortunately.

I then added a layer of Kiko Sparkle Touch shade 228 for some extra depth and sparkle.

It was at that stage I threw any plans for stamping out the window and picked up Essence Circus Confetti instead.  When in doubt, add glitter.

It's great adding multicoloured glitter to a neutral base as you can really see all the different colours of glitter.  Circus Confetti has to be one of my favourite glitter toppers purely because of the plethora of colours it includes.  Look at them all in the bottle!

Sunday's Sparkles: Blackberry Glitter

Good morning dear ladies,

With the start of December comes the beginning of winter and the countdown to Christmas and New Year.  In terms of nails, that means full steam ahead for manicures featuring glitter, snowflakes, Christmas sweater designs, Christmas trees...you know the score.  I'm going to hold off on the more overtly Christmas-themed manicures for a couple of weeks and start with the glittery ones.

First up is this manicure featuring Barry M Blackberry, a dark inky shade of purple.

I really love the Barry M Gelly polishes as application is easy and the finish is super glossy. 

 Sticking with Barry M, I then added Diamond Glitter to the tips to add some festive sparkle.

Sunday's Sparkles: Butterfly Fairytale

Hello ladies,

Today I'd like to show you a polish I bought a while ago online from Korea Department Store.  It's always risky buying online as it's hard to tell how accurate the sample pictures are and I have to say I was disappointed by how pale and sheer this polish turned out to be.

Not to worry though, I made it work by applying two coats over a coat of Essence Sweet as Candy.

 I then stamped butterflies with H&M Purple Flash, Konad m36 and Bundle Monster 307.

Sunday's Sparkles: Innisfree Glitter

Hello lovely ladies,

Today I'd like to show you the first polish from my Korean haul which I swatched.

 The brand is called Innisfree and the shade is simply number 121.

 As you can see, it's a pale grey polish packed full of glitter of various sizes, shapes and colours.  There's a whole rainbow of sparkles in this polish with pink, gold, silver and green being the colours that stand out to me.

 I layered this over Color Club Cherubic, simply because that was on my nails when I wanted to try one of my new polishes and I thought this glitter shade was a good match for Cherubic.  Next time I'll try the polish without a base colour as I don't think it will need many coats to become opaque.

I really like this polish and I'm happy it's in my collection.  It reminds me of China Glaze It's A Trapeze and the Nails Inc Sprinkles polishes although it's not a dupe.

This is two coats of Kiko 332, a deep shade of purple, followed by a coat of Essence Disco Disco.
