Good morning girls! Did you have a good weekend? I had to spend a lot of time studying but I also managed a trip to the cinema to see Bad Teacher. What a mistake that was; it's definitely one of the worst films I've seen in recent years.
I had to study because I'm in college this week and I have a mock exam this afternoon (which I think is very unfair considering the last classes we had were in December!) but...being at college means I don't have to worry about my manicures being suitable for the office plus I'm on holiday next week so expect lots of bright and colourful manicures in the next couple of weeks :-)
Let's start as we mean to go on then:
This wasn't exactly a fail but there are mistakes galore. However, I quite like it :-)
I used Eyeko Lilac Polish as my base and stamped using a white Boots polish and Mash m60 to create vertical and horizontal lines as a background. Stamping was not easy as the image was a lot shorter than my nails so I had to attempt some double stamping.

I didn't really mind about the initial stamping mistakes as I had planned to layer my stamping anyway.
what a combination ! I love the blue and the purple! and the subtle white stamping is great... I love it :D
ReplyDeleteI like the double stamping on this :-) I can never get away with double stamping. I always manage to mess it up!
ReplyDeleteWow! Those are really cute!!! I'm not really familiar with the whole stamping thing, but seeing how your nails are SO cute, I think I might want to invest in one! What name/site can I go to get one of those!! XD
ReplyDeleteSo Bad Teacher's not very good? Ah, my friend is dragging me to see it on Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteYou did an amazing job on the double stamping, I wouldn't even know if you didn't mention it! Looks amazing!
I really like it! I love the layering you did on it!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to be honest.. I don't think this is a fail AT ALL! I saw this as a mini image on my blogroll and WOW I was amazed at how pretty it was... I clicked right away so I could see it full sized. Laura, this is beautiful!
ReplyDeletewow!this stamp is not a fail!! it is very detailed and cute!
ReplyDeleteYou girls always manage to overwhelm me with your positive feedback! Thanks for your comments :-)
ReplyDelete@Lady Pink, thanks :-)
@Nail Stories, oh when images are too small for my nails I hate double stamping with a passion but layering is fun :-) Just need to be patient when applying the top coat so I don't smudge the images!
@Rilakumaki, aw :-) Stamps are a great investment! Mine are mostly from amazon.com or amazon.co.uk under the Bundle Monster brand :-)
@Lydia, thanks! Maybe you'll enjoy Bad Teacher but I just hated it. I suppose it depends on your sense of humour. Justin let me down :-(
@Thenailaholic, thank you :-)
@Pixie Polish, wow, that's an enthusiastic reaction! Thanks :-)

@Sara, thanks! Wow, I knew I liked it but I had no idea it would be so popular with the blogging community lol.
ReplyDeleteThe exam was a total fail but a good learning experience so...
@Kate, thanks :-) I look forward to seeing your results!
@Anon, thanks!
@Anon, hope my next pictures don't disappoint you ;-)
@colorfulbottle, thanks! Did you have any problems stamping the plaid? I'm excited to see your pics :-)
@Mimi, thanks! It's one of my new favourites :-)
Out of all the BM stamps on the new plates, this is by far my favourite. I keep wanting to use it, then persuade myself that there are plenty of other images that I haven't used and it's not fair on them. :P
ReplyDeleteWas Bad Teacher really that bad?
xoxo
@NailsandNonsense, I know what you mean but I don't mind a bit of favouritism every now and then lol.
ReplyDeleteBad Teacher really isn't in line with my sense of humour so for me, it was an awful film. I've read some reviews where the critics liked it though.
You've been having really cute nail designs recently!:D
