Friday's Foreign Travels (Manchester)

Currently watching: Young Apprentice

Good morning girls! How are you today? Are you ready for the weekend?

Today's Foreign Travels post sees us visiting Manchester, England, which is where I currently reside.

One thing you can definitely say about this city is that there is plenty of interesting architecture and art work to admire.

It's also home to beautiful cathedrals and churches.

Being in the north of England and at the heart of the industrial revolution, it's easy to assume Manchester will be grey and gloomy but this city really sparkles in the sunlight.

You never know what kind of innovative architecture you will glimpse next.

A fine example of this is the Hilton hotel, which is a prominent feature of the skyline.

But wherever you go, signs of the city's industrial past can still be seen.

Personally, my favourite areas of Manchester are around the canals and Salford Quays. I'd love to live in one of the apartments here.

Have you visited Manchester? Do you have any trips planned for this weekend?

Bye for now,
Laura
