Sunday's Stamping (and my first Franken)

Currently watching: X Factor

Hello girls!

Are you having a good weekend? Yesterday I discovered how fun it is to create frankens. Mine didn't turn out at all as planned but I think I may have a new hobby ;-) Here's my first, Fairytale Ending:

It looks much better in the bottle than it does on my nails. For some reason, hardly any of the glitter actually transferred on to my nails.

I then stamped using Bourjous Bleu Asphalte and MASH plate m64. I hadn't tried this pattern before and I'm not sure I will use it again to be honest. It looks like henna, which I like, but for some reason I just don't think it works. What do you think?

I applied a coat of Nail Tek Foundation, which dries matte, rather annoyingly, and then had to layer over another coat of China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat. I haven't been using Nail Tek Foundation long enough to see results but I can say straight away that one disadvantage of it compared to OPI Nail Envy is the fact it dries matte.

What do you think of this manicure girls? Do you make frankens?

Bye for now,
Laura

  3. I think the design totally works. I've only done a few frankens, and my glitter didn't transfer very well to my nails either, so I put the hobby a bit on hold - also because I have so many new polishes to try. :)

    @Sandra, thanks!

    @Rainbowify Me, I don't understand the problem with the glitter but I'm glad I'm not the only one who's had that problem. I think I'll be putting that hobby on hold due to a lack of empty bottles!
