Monday's Manicure- Vintage Stamping

Currently watching: Wall-E

Hello dear readers :-)

Did you have a nice weekend? Are you ready to face the week ahead? I had a great weekend bar Sunday afternoon when I had to study. I start college again in three weeks and apparently we have a mock exam on the first day. Fun times ahead.

This week's Monday Manicure features another of my new Kiko polishes (I will have swatches of them all for you soon), a muted green simply named 346. I then stamped the vintage floral pattern from BM 224 with Eyeko Vintage Polish.

Note to self: take pictures after applying Seche Vite to smooth out any smudges and raised stamping

Before I got my new Bundle Monster plates I saw a lot of manicures with this stamped design and I was so excited to try it myself. I love this design and think using it with two shades of the same colour works really well.

What do you think of this manicure? Do you like my new Kiko polish?

Bye for now,
Laura

  5. I LOVE IT! It looks, to me, like antiqued lace. I really need to get on the ball and order my bundle monster plates. I keep meaning to, but then I see polishes I want and I have to weigh out which I'd prefer..lol!

  8. @Sara, I would definitely recommend getting the BM plates. They are a fab investment :-) As for the Kiko polishes, I bought mine in Paris for €2.50 for 11ml so I can't say they're expensive. Application is easy, 1 or 2 coats, no issues. I can't comment on drying time as I use Seche Vite. That also means I can't comment on lasting power, especially since I have changed my manicures quite frequently by choice when wearing Kiko polishes. Sorry not to be more helpful lol. Other bloggers seem to think this is a good quality brand though!

@Cristina, thanks :-) I was excited to find this brand after seeing it featured on lots of blogs.

@Kate, thanks for commenting :-) I'll be sure to check out your blog...

@ChaosButterfly, ooh, I see what you mean about it looking like marble!

@Pixie Polish, thanks! Image plates should definitely win over new polish! I hope you manage to buy them soon :-)

@The Nail Buff, thanks :-) I'm not really a green fan myself but for some reason this shade appeals to me.

@Alice, thank you! I'm happy to finally own some Kiko polishes :-)

  10. Hey =)
I have the old BM plates and yes they definitely are great but the reason I haven't given in and bought the new plates is because the designs don't appeal to me! I really like some designs but I know that a lot of them would go to waste =/
If I had a choice and could buy only the plates I liked I would soo do that!
And about the polish, it sounds really great =] Its ok you can't say about the staying power... which reminds me, where do you buy Seche Vite from?

  13. @Olivia, thanks :-)

@Sara, ah, I see. I know what you mean about not being grabbed by many of the new BM designs. For me it was more about the size of the full nail images. It's reached the stage where I just don't use any of the old BM ones now as I find them so small and I hate double stamping. I'm sure my nails will break soon enough though and I'll be back using them lol.
I got my SV from Sally's though it's probably available in larger Boots branches, on ebay and Amazon. I'm not sure I'd buy it again though as I think there's a new product on the market - Lumos High Speed Top Coat- which is supposed to be better.

@Mimi, glad you like it :-)
